This piece was created as part of Summer of Sketching, an annual challenge to get outside and draw started by Eric Friedensohn (AKA Efdot).

The city of Richmond, Virginia is located on the James River, which is a huge attraction for residents and tourists alike. I was inspired by the history of the city as well as the rushing river.
